Un-Coverall in Red/Yellow Check

Handcrafted jacket in red/yellow checked cotton. This fabric was handwoven by Tomo Kishida and has 4 different shades of red and yellow on the warp and red and yellow on the weft. Spread collar, front button fastening and long sleeves with a dropped shoulder. Patch pockets on the front. Buttons are gold-plated sterling silver.  One size. Nathan is 184cm. Tomo Kishida, based in Osaka, is a true artisan creating hand-woven fabrics of which he transforms into exquisite editions of singular garments. Tomo uses an ancient Japanese practice known as Sakiori, where pieces of left-over fabric are manipulated and strung back together. Saki meaning ‘to tear’, and Ori to ‘weave together’. In 2021 he added a jewellery collection that is a continuation of the various perspectives cultivated during the process of the endeavour of clothing making.
